I have to admit I find wide calf riding boots sexy. Don’t you? There is something about a solid, chunky calf stuck in a patent leather, shiny black boot that does it for me every time. But what really gets me going is when the boot is a wide calf riding boot. One that has seen a little stable action.
If there is a hint of jodhpur tucked in the top of the wide calf riding boot in the photo then I can stare at it for hours. Normally I would like to see the entire model but if she has wide calf riding boots and jodhpurs then anything from the knee down will suffice.
You have to make sure you get the right kind of wide calf riding boot. I don’t mean cowboy boots or thigh high riding boots like cavalrymen used to wear. I mean top of the calf, just below the knee wide calf riding boots. Brown is my colour of choice. A rich, deep, dark mahogany brown leather, burnished to a shine you can see your face in as you kneel in supplication and wonder.
I don’t like suede wide calf riding boots and thankfully they are becoming something of a rarity. Even on the internet most wide calf riding boots are patent leather or deeply spit-shined units. Suede just doesn’t do it for me, the texture is all wrong. If anything it dampens my enthusiasm and passion for wide calf riding boots.
